As the specific gravity of water depends on the water temperature, the specific gravity of a sample changes accordingly. It is necessary to compensate water temperature based on the specific gravity: 1.000 of 4-degree water. The specific gravity of water being preset in memory at every 0 to 49 degree Celsius in advance, it is possible to compensate the specific gravity of a sample by setting water temperature. （As water temperature rises 6 degrees, the specific gravity increases 0.001g. ）Generally we measure Specific Gravity temperature at 4℃, however plastic density measurement should be done with 25℃ water, for example.
